Meet the Black Mountain Plumbing Team
We are located in San Diego, California and provide quick, courteous customer service from reception to project estimate, to process and completion. We have great plumbers with many years of experience who are highly qualified and continually trained on new trends and systems involving plumbing, water heaters, green plumbing and water filtration systems.

Scott Ferrell | CEO
Scott completed his four-year plumber's apprenticeship August 1, 1989 through the Plumbers & Pipefitters Union, Local #230 and became a Licensed Plumbing Contractor October 21, 1993. Scott is the CEO of Black Mountain Plumbing, Inc. and serves on the Executive Board for the Plumbing, Heating & Cooling Contractors Association. He is an expert witness for litigation involving plumbing issues (CV located under Litigation Support on this Website). Scott is a certified Green Plumber and has a background in Construction Management which affords him the knowledge and experience required to efficiently and correctly recreate or correct existing plumbing systems to meet the specifications of our customers. Anita Ferrell | CFO
Scott's wife for over 20 years and business partner. Anita handles accounts payable, and is our CFO.
John Horn | General Manager
John has worked in the plumbing industry for almost 10 years. John is a very competent plumber and a specialist when it comes to tankless water heaters. When not out in the field, he coordinates the men in the field, as well as locating and ordering material. It is usually John that determines which plumber would be best for any given job. His service as a sergeant in the U.S. Army has trained him well for this position. John is also a certified Green Plumber.
Kathy Johnson | Office Manager
Kathy is the friendly voice you most likely will hear when you call us. She has been a key part of our Black Mountain Plumbing team since 2003. Her duties include Accounts Receivable and Customer Service Coordinator, as well as supervising the office staff. We can depend on her to handle most anything and she does it with a smile.
Robert Snyder | Field Superintendent
Robert has been with us over ten years and does most of our custom remodeling jobs, he has worked side by side with Scott for years and is more familiar than most with custom work. Robert finished in the top of his class and is a certified Green Plumber.
David Boyer | Plumber/HOA Rep
David and Scott met about 2002 planting trees at church on a Saturday, David was "working hard for free". Soon after they became good friends and David joined the Black Mountain Plumbing team. Dave is our Water Treatment specialist as well as our HOA and Property Management liason. He was top in his class and a backflow specialist, and has completed his "Green Plumber " training. Dave is also a youth Pastor in Mira Mesa
Travis Morgan | Plumber
Travis is an all around great plumber. He enjoys large jobs, commercial or residential construction or tenant improvement work. He has been plumbing since 1997. He always has an upbeat attitude toward life, and has a heart for others.
Larry Keen | Plumber
Larry started his plumbing career in 1991. He has more certifications than anyone we've seen. He has a "get-it-done" attitude, is trustworthy and has a great work ethic.
Solomon Nwosu | Plumber
If it is new and technical Solomon's eyes light up, he is still in the apprenticeship program and has finished his "Green Plumber" classes. He is curently testing very high in school. Solomon also is our in-house go to guy for vehicle repairs.
Kreg Atterberry | Marketing Director
Kreg brings more than 25 years of small business marketing experience to the Black Mountain Plumbing team. Kreg, handles the marketing and advertising for us. He is a specialist in online marketing and social media and is certified in Google Enhanced and Google Ad Words.
Carol Ann Ferrell
Carol has been helping her son Scott off and on since he started BMP. Her experience as a legal secretary has been a huge asset. Carol is retired but enjoys working part-time in the office for her son at Black Mountain Plumbing, Inc., and enjoys singing in a small group and also enjoy singing solo at various functions in San Diego.
